Grace & Truth exists to point people to Jesus! We hope this link-up will be a source of encouragement each and every week. If you’re a blogger our hope is that you’ll use this space as a way to meet new friends within the Christian blogging community. If you’re a reader our hope is that you’ll meet new bloggers that love Jesus just as much as you do! Most of all, we hope you’ll meet Jesus here.

At the beginning of each new link-up week, the Hosts will post their favorite post of the week, to be “featured” (see below for directions on how to be featured!).

Welcome to Grace & Truth Week 12! Spring keeps trying to come to Indiana! It’s been lots of April showers lately, so that’s a normal thing for Spring. 🙂 I love thunderstorms….Until they shut down my computer when I’m in the midst of writing a post. 😛

If you’re new to Grace&Truth, welcome! If you’re a veteran, I’m so thankful you’re sticking with us! 🙂

This week, I chose Heather’s post “Imperfect Me.”

I am a poet (though not a great one, I admit) and I love reading poetry from other believers. This poem from Heather is short but it packs a powerful punch in meaning, depth and beauty.

I really can’t give the poem away – you have to go read it on ://myoverflowingcup.com/imperfect-me/” target=”_blank”>her site. But here’s her preface:

I wrote this poem a few years ago after watching Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ for the first time.

While I was moved more than I can even begin to express by the portrayal of Christ’s incredible sacrifice, I was also struck by Peter’s agony at the cross.

I cannot imagine how distraught he must have been to realize that even after Jesus warned him about what he would do, Peter still denied that he knew Christ. (See Mark 14:29-31 & Luke 22:54-62).

Seriously, go read it!!

Congratulations, Heather! Here is a button, if you’d like to post it. 🙂

Grace&Truth-Rules2

1.) Follow your hosts via their blog and/or social media channels. This is not mandatory, but appreciated!

2.) Leave 1-2 of your most recent CHRISTIAN LIVING posts. Please do not link DIY, Crafts, Recipes, etc. Links of this kind will be deleted. We also reserve the right to delete posts that don’t align with the theme or that are deemed by the hostesses to be inappropriate.

3.) Visit 1-2 other links and leave a meaningful comment! We want to encourage community, so please don’t link and run!

4.) All links are randomly sorted – feel free to link as early or as late as you’d like. The playing field is even!

In order to be featured next week:

5.) Grab a button or link back to encourage new linkers. This is not mandatory to participate, but is required to be featured. Any place noticeable is fine – within your post or in your sidebar.

6.) Each host will choose one link to feature and promote via their social media channels next week.

7.) By linking up you agree to allow the hosts to use your featured post image if you are chosen as a feature for next week.

JennAbout Jenn: I’m a Christian wife to an amazing man (since 1998) and a stay-at-home-teaching mom to four special & incredible boys (born in 2004, 2005, 2007, & 2009). I’m messy and cluttered, but working on that (really, I am!). I’m a discouraged perfectionist and a classic procrastinator who probably has both ADD & Autism, so I tend to jump from topic to topic (and activity to activity) without notice. My Love Languages are Words of Affirmation and Physical Touch. I’m an INFP who enjoys friends but loves to be alone. I love getting and giving hugs, and encouragement is a Spiritual gift of mine that can too-easily be turned into the weapon of discouragement, if I’m not careful. I enjoy writing, singing, words, drawing, photography, digital creations, and reading. Oh, and pizza, tacos, and steak. Now I’m hungry. That reminds me; I eat gluten free and try to eat organic and avoid white sugar and GMOs as much as possible.  Find me on Facebook (Writer/Editor page) (Fan page), Twitter, Pinterest, or Instagram.
